Overview
Provides Open CASCADE-based applications with the capability of reading and manipulating native data from UG NX. This UG NX data exchange solution works as an Open CASCADE Plug-in. It allows importing BRep data (geometrical and topological data) alone or in assemblies (defined with components as located parts). PRT files can be converted. |

* Reading geometry and topology information from UG NX.
Geometrical and topological native UG NX5 file can be converted to Open CASCADE shapes. Translation calls on the Shape Healing function to produce data which fulfil the integrity constraints that are expected when using Open CASCADE technology. The plug-in processes a PRT file of NX. Data could be imported while using Open CASCADE function.
Assemblies defined in UG NX 5, made of components defined as located parts or other assemblies (for assemblies at several levels), are converted to compound shapes of Open CASCADE, reflecting the initial data sharing of parts.

The UG NX Plug-in is based on Open CASCADE 6.1. This translator requires Open CADCADE 6.1 and is available on Windows XP platforms supported for Open CASCADE 6.1.
