Overview
Provides Open CASCADE-based applications with the capability of reading and manipulating native data from CATIA V5. These CATIA V5 data exchange solutions work either as an independent stand-alone translator or as an OPENCASCADE Plug-in. They allow importing BRep data (geometrical and topological data). CatPart as well as CatProduct could be converted.

Geometrical and topological native CATIA V5 file can be converted to Open CASCADE shapes. Translation calls on the Shape Healing function to produce data which fulfil the integrity constraints that are expected when using Open CASCADE technology. The plug-in may process a whole model (CATPart, CATProduct), or for a CATPart, one body identified by its index (from 0) in the part. Data could be imported throughout the independent stand-alone translator or called while using OPEN CASCADE function.

Configuration
The CATIA V5 Plug-in and Interface solutions are based on Open CASCADE 6.1. These translators are stand-alone and require no other external software.
They are available on Windows XP platforms supported for Open CASCADE 6.1.
