The Advanced Samples Pack extends numerous samples already included into Open CASCADE and focus on more complicated and advanced techniques.
It includes the following applications:
- XDE - eXtended Data Exchange application able to read/write all supported formats - BRep, IGES, STEP, STL, VRML and licensed options ACIS-SAT, Parasolid-XT, DXF, EUCLID supporting colors, names, layers, assemblies, etc;
- Advanced OCAF - prototype of 3D modeler using parametric approach (i.e. modification of some arguments lead to reconstruction of a result);
- Kitchen - an example of using OCAF to design and layout kitchen stuff (furniture, refrigerator, windows, doors, chairs, etc);
- Camshaft Drive - an example of using modeling algorithms to create industrial objects (camshafts, gears, etc) and to visualize animation;
- Shape Healer – a full-fledged application to analyze and to correct CAD models imported from different formats, to customize and to export them to another destination format.
