Changing installation directory

Changing installation directory
jeff shanab 2007/10/30 14:34
Are we ever going to get out from under this evil installshield crap? ./configure;make;make install works on all linux distros. Go ahead, provide two links on your web page, this is open source after all.
It is beautiful, but the ads arn't up long enough to read anyway.
The java start shell script never works out of the box on linux, I have use java -jar setup.jar.

The doc tries to install into root. No dialog to change it.

My root is a separate partition and is very small. (As it should be on a properly configured linux system)

How do I change the install directory?
