Algorithm


Sewing algorithm implemented in Open CASCADE can be subdivided into several quite independent stages, each of them responsible for achieving certain goals. Some stages can also be turned on or off using boolean or other flags accessible for the user. Tuning each stage of the algorithm or the algorithm in whole can be done with several parameters accessible for the user and described below.

In short, to sew shape algorithm must for each free boundary find the set of candidates to merge, select those candidates which can be merged according to certain criteria, and finally merge found candidates to build the resulting sewed shape.
