Open CASCADE Web Stats Hit a Record High
Open CASCADE Version 4.0 shows growing popularity with downloads five times as frequent as those of the first stable version, made available in January 2000.
The opencascade.com site marked up a record number of visits with the release of Open CASCADE Certified Version 4.0 on November 27th. As of this month, over 22,000 developers have downloaded one of three Open CASCADE stable versions.
Downloads of Version 4.0 exceeded those of the previous Version 3.1 by 125% and were five times the amount of downloads for the original Version 3.0 in December 2000.
Version 4.0 features advanced data exchange capabilities, improved modeling algorithms and a development environment that can be used for working with applications that are non-Open CASCADE dependent.
